Ah, Arkenastis. So I should re-phrase the hiarchy of color: background colors trump the entire panel, and the gods trump the background colors! These are pages I really get into. Character expressions are one of my favorite tools to convey the mood of the scene. Even during production, I’d hide the speech bubbles just to see if the mood is on par with the script.
